For Instructors

Students develop a basic understanding of lead toxicity to humans. They learn about lead’s properties as well as its sources of entry into the body. Students consider what has been done to limit the sources of lead in the environment, access by young children, and how diet may play a role in preventing the effects of lead poisoning from being manifested in an individual.
